Early Trick or Treat (Giveaway)

Contest Closed: Thank you for participating. Look for more fun giveaways coming soon!

What better way is there to kick off the Halloween season right than with an early Trick-or-Treat giveaway? This treat is not the sugary, high fructose corn syrup junk that people usually dump into your goody bags. I am giving away 4 LÄRABARs to 2 winners.

Holy Môlé! – This bar’s distinguishing ingredient, chili, boasts a subtle, gradual heat. The unexpected combination of spicy and sweet is perfect for indecisive types looking for a nutrition boost. Cocoa Mole packs antioxidant-rich cocoa, protein-loaded almonds and the Omega-3 superstar walnuts, all which contribute to 20% of daily fiber requirements. This ‘hot’ chocolate will have everyone singing ‘OLÉ!’

Image and quote from larabar.com.

Full Disclosure: This giveaway is not sponsored by LÄRABAR. I purchased a box of these bars, and am deciding to give them away.

Two lucky winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on this page. You can have up to 4 chances to win!

  • Leave a comment telling me your favorite LÄRABAR flavor (if you’ve never tried one, that’s ok, just say so).
  • Earn an extra entry if you are a new or existing subscriber to Boy Meets Food, and leave me a comment letting me know. By the way. If you are a previous subscriber, you may need to re-register. I moved my RSS feed over to Feedburner, and I don’t think the old subscription will work anymore.
  • Earn another additional entry by linking back to this giveaway on your blog, and leaving a comment letting me know.
  • Earn one more entry by mentioning the giveaway on Twitter and leaving a comment letting me know.

With my blog being relatively new, I’m going to let the contest go for two full weeks to give time for the word to spread. Entries will be accepted until Saturday October 10 at 12:00 midnight.

Edit: The contest is now closed. Thanks to all who entered. You can see the results here.

Hi Seth! Found your announcement over at KathEats and thought I’d stop by and say “HI”!! I’ve never heard of this larabar flavor, for some reason I have issues trying to find newer flavors, it sounds AMAZING! But, I must say my new favorite is the peanut butter and jelly larabar I love to crumble it up and put it in yogurt!

Looks like a fun blog, I will definitely be visiting soon!

Also heard about this blog through KathEats. I heart the Coconut Creme flavor as well as the Banana Bread. But I also recently found the PB and jelly and it tastes AWESOME – surprising for me as I don’t like jelly!

Are you only giving out the flavor above? B/c then I’ll have to pass- not a fan of spicy things, especially in chocolate! If not, load me up PLEASE!

Hello! I am not usually a big Larabar fan, although I haven’t tried that many flavors. So far I have liked Cashew Cookie the best. I’d be interested to try this flavor! Thanks!

Hi Seth…I found you via your comment at Smitten Kitchen. I’m glad to have found your site. I don’t read a lot of food blogs, but I think it’ll be nice to add a guy’s perspective to the mix. :)

I think my favorite is Apple Pie. I like the cinnamon-y goodness. I also think the chocolate coconut one makes a nice treat, but I rarely get it since it’s not available at the Trader Joe’s where I do most of my shopping. Thanks!

It’s hard to choose just one favorite flavor, but I’d say cashew cookie or peanut butter cookie .. Or coconut cream pie or banana bread. Mmmm, the pecan pie is good too, and so is the ginger snap … See, too many good ones to pick one favorite flavor!

    :)

I haven’t tried that many Larabars, but I do remember liking the banana cookie flavor, because it reminded me of banana bread. But, I’m sure I need to try all of them to determine a favorite.

Just read your guest post and freaked out with a Larabar giveaway. I LOVE Larabars, so for me, this is a perfect giveaway (I can’t believe you bought a box and don’t want them all…)

It’s hard to pick a favorite–PBJ, PB Cookie, Banana Cookie, etc.–but I would have to go with Apple Pie if pressed for an answer. Really though, you can’t go wrong!

It has been ages since I have had a Larabar, so I couldn’t say my favorite – but it would definitely be one with cinnamon and spices or something with PB.
