Spicy Stuffing Patties
Sometimes cooking just calls for silly experimentation, right? Brian (my sister’s boyfriend) came over one night and decided to go all Emeril on me. OK, so he didn’t say “BAM“, but he did decide to do some cooking and kick it up a notch.
So, what happens when the guys take over the kitchen, and a few beers spark their creativity?… Spicy Stuffing Patties happen, that’s what. Brian shares my taste for very spicy, saucy foods with tons of flavor. We also both seem to really like the from-a-box Stove Top stuffing mix. There, I said it… Yes, I Seth, am a foodie who actually likes boxed stuffing. I think I am pretty much alone on that one (at least here in our online foodie world), but that’s ok.
Anyway, back to the dish. We just made up a batch of Stove Top stuffing, mixed in some gravy, and a chopped up chipotle pepper (or two). For fun, we used a biscuit cutter to portion them out into patties before baking, and tossed them in the oven.
Yes, all those red specks are bits of chipotle peppers, so these were kinda spicy. We also poured a little extra gravy on top, and they turned out to be pretty good. I wouldn’t go so far as to say that it was a culinary masterpiece, but I enjoyed it.
Abby apparently didn’t approve:

Just kidding. Those are sleepy Abby, wake up pics from the next morning. I just thought they were cute, and wanted to share. She probably won’t be too happy that I posted those. Shhhh, don’t tell her.

I love it! Seriously creative. Abby looks cute

Love the idea! I’d probably throw a few spicy sausages in there and just make it the main course!
