It must be getting close to Christmas, because I just got 2 presents in the mail last night!!! OK, OK, so I bought one for myself, but it is still a present. :)

My friend Jessica @ How Sweet It Is sent me this beautiful box of pears from Harry and David. I am helping her with some blog stuff, and designing a new template to give her blog a fun, new look. I want to go ahead and spread the word that I… Will work for food! Maybe I need to make a sign saying that, out of the cardboard box the pears came in. :) Thank you so much Jessica!

Here was my other fun thing I got in the mail. I have never bought a monitor, except for the 11 year old CRT that came with my first computer. I did upgrade last year, but that was just to a borrowed monitor from my mother in law. Thanks Beth! Well, I have been saving up my personal money, and bought myself a Black Friday special. This thing was marked down $100 from its usual price, had free shipping, and since it was online it saved me from waiting in a 2 hour checkout line at Best Buy for the other option I was going to get!

The monitor I have been borrowing is a 19 inch regular, and this new one is a 24 inch widescreen. It’s kind of strange that the height of the actual viewing area is almost exactly the same. It’s kind of nice though, because the two kind of fit together nicely. :)

So, what does my new monitor have to do with food? Well, nothing. I am just really, really excited and wanted to share. Besides, it seemed to go with the theme of getting fun things in the mail. By the way… I can now confirm those pears are as wonderful as they look. Thanks again Jessica.
