Meet Boots. Boots is the major reason I have not been very active with posting over the past couple of days. The other night, she was “helping” me type in her usual fashion. Or as I like to call it, walking on the keyboard. Well, when she grew tired of her important job (or decided there were bag mice to catch or something…), and started to jump down from my desk, she got her paw caught in one of the drawers (that I had left slightly open). Long story short, she dislocated her elbow, and had to spend two days at the vet. It was really scary because she not only wasn’t using the paw, but the entire leg was hanging limp and dragging. I was so worried that she might have broken it.

Good news. We have a great vet, who was able to pop everything back in to place, and she is back home now, and seems to be doing ok. She is a little loopy from the pain medication, but the vet says she will be fine.

Around here, our pets are family members, so it’s rough on us when one of them isn’t feeling well. No worries though… Boots is now home and walking around, so I think we may have made it through another adventure.
