I've always thought anything labelled 'spreadable fruit' has no added sugars? Like, it might have some juice in it to give it the right texture but the only sugars in it are the sugars already present in the fruit & juice. Maybe that solves the sweetness problem?

Now I'm going to check it out the next time I'm at the grocery to make sure I didn't just make that up! :D

I have been experimenting with using jam to sweeten baked goodies - haven't hit the mark just yet - but in savory dishes, it sounds like it adds just the right touch of sweetness. I will need to experiment!

Yeah, I don't usually think about using preserves in cooking, but this might open up some new possibilities.

This is a brilliant recipe! I love the one-pot idea, preparing the chicken and sauce together. Excellent use of avocado too. Hmmm, wondering what other preserves might go nicely besides apricot?
